  • Countertop system for teller and retail use
  • Small footprint with integral stacker
  • Affordable and easy-to-use
  • Codeline reading and imaging
  • Voiding and endorsing options

Compact and easy to use, the Seac Banche SB 1500 is a personal document processing system designed for counter use at teller windows and point of sale locations.
By adding advanced imaging technology and superior functionality to the internationally acclaimed RD 1000, Seac Banche has created an attractive reader scanner that meets the needs of banks and retailers worldwide, the perfect combination of performance, reliability and price.

The SB 1600 combines the compact power of the SB 1500 with the ability to capture images in full colour.

Features

MANUAL DOCUMENT FEEDER
Document feeding is manual, one-by-one, with a motorised single document drop feeder positioned at an ergonomically correct height. A photosensor, which detects document presence, allows for immediate processing when the document is dropped into the feeder.

CODELINE READING: MICR AND OCR
The unit’s MICR reading functionality decodes both CMC7 and E13B magnetic codelines. Reliability of the system is undisputed, based on the experience of thousands of Seac Banche codeline readers installed worldwide. The MICR head is spring-loaded, so that it can easily accommodate documents with different paper weight and thickness.

The proprietary onboard decoding system for OCR documents (optional) can read OCR-A, OCR-B and E13B codelines and mixed font OCR-B X E13B (UK Bank Giro), with outstanding accuracy and reliability. The OCR system can also be used for barcode reading.

IMAGE PROCESSING
The SB 1500 uses the most advanced technology available on the market for low-cost, high-performance image capture. Images captured by the SB 1500 are perfectly clear and sharply defined. The system allows for front and rear images of a document to be captured in a single pass. Images are scanned under program control and can be used to provide input to OCR/ICR character recognition systems, allowing for the acquisition of reliable and accurate data, as well as stored for archive and retrieval.

Resolution can be selected via application software, independently for front and rear images – 200 x 200 dpi or 100 x 100 dpi, 256 or 16 shades of grey, green or red light source (the latter showing red dropout images). An enhanced version – the SB 1600 – captures front and rear images in full colour, without losing the ability to capture greyscale images.
The images can be compressed by DLL functions in several formats, according to user needs.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES
The optional self-inking front stamp can be used to void documents, while the programmable inkjet endorser can print a variable string of data on the rear side of the document. Voiding and endorsing are controlled by the application.

The SB 1500 can also be equipped with an optional manual magnetic stripe card reader which is housed in its own track at the front of the unit.

ERGONOMICS
Self-contained in its own footprint, the SB 1500 has no protruding feeders or stackers that increase its size. The power supply is internal, no extra box to find a place for. Just a data cable and a power cable, the way you expect it to be.

AUTOMATIC DOCUMENT FEEDER

The RDS line uses the most advanced technology available on the market for high-performance image capture. Images captured by the RDS are perfectly clear and sharply defined.

At standard speed (480 mm/sec), the
RDS 3000 allows for up to three separate images of a document to be captured in a single pass. Images are scanned under program control and can be used to provide input to OCR/ICR character recognition systems, allowing for the acquisition of reliable and accurate data, as well as stored for archive and retrieval.
Resolution can be selected via application software, independently for front and rear images – 200 x 200, 100 x 100 dpi (or higher, up to 254 dpi, by reducing the transport speed), 256 shades of grey, green or red light source (the latter showing red dropout images).
An enhanced version – the
RDS 6000 – captures front and rear images in full colour, without losing the ability to capture greyscale images, while the new high-speed model RDS 3500 will capture front and rear greyscale images in one pass, with either red or green light.
The images can be compressed by DLL functions in several formats, according to user needs.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES
The programmable inkjet endorser – height-adjustable at either 35 or 45 mm from the bottom edge – can print a variable string of data on the rear side of the document, up to full document width. The optional roll-on front stamp can be used to void documents: the pad can be personalised by the user, and it is automatically inked before each stamping action by an inking roller. Voiding and endorsing are controlled by the application.

The RDS can also be equipped with an optional manual magnetic stripe card reader which is housed in its own track at the front of the unit.

POCKETS
The RDS is equipped with two adjustable sorting pockets with a capacity of about 50 documents each, motorised to prevent paper jams and equipped with pocket-empty photosensors.

The sorting criteria are set by the application.

An enhanced version – the SB 4100 – captures front and rear images in full colour, without losing the ability to capture greyscale images.

The images can be compressed by DLL functions in several formats, according to user needs.

VOIDING AND ENDORSING
The programmable inkjet endorser can print a variable string of data on the rear side of the document, up to full document width. The optional roll-on stamp can be factory installed to stamp either the front or rear of documents: the pad can be personalised by the user, and it is automatically inked before each stamping action by an inking roller.

Voiding and endorsing are controlled by the application.

POCKETS
The SB 4000 is equipped with three sorting pockets. The processed documents can be sorted into two pockets with a capacity of about 200 documents each, motorised to prevent paper jams and equipped with pocket-full sensors. A smaller pocket, with a capacity of about 25 documents, can be used for rejects.

The sorting criteria are set by the application.
