The Seac Banche RD 1000 Codeline Reader is internationally accepted by Banks and other Financial Institutions as the preferred unit for the counter teller environment. Offering unique engineering features, the RD 1000 can read several types of financial documents, including checks, deposit slips, travellers cheques and other banking vouchers.

The RD 1000 guarantees silent operation, speed and reliability, which lead to maximum workstation productivity with minimal human intervention.

Features

The RD 1000 can read all the internationally accepted types of codeline fonts: magnetic reading of CMC7 and E13B and optical recognition of OCR-A, OCR-B, E13B and the UK mixed font of OCR-B X E13B. All of these are read to the highest standards of accuracy.
The design of the read logic for both magnetic and optical fonts means that there is flexibility to read characters that are misaligned or printed in lower than standard densities.
The RD 1000 can also be equipped with an optional manual magnetic stripe card reader which is housed in its own track at the front of the unit.

BENEFITS

Easy to use
The RD 1000 is simple to operate. Documents are hand drop fed into the specially designed feeder and passed through the track of the unit by the motorised transport: reading and stacking are completely automatic. Just before feed-through, the optional front stamp can be used to automatically “void” the document.

Approved by ergonomists
The RD 1000 has been approved for use at bank teller positions by independent consultants appointed by major bank customers.

Small footprint
The RD 1000 – with its output stacker within the basic footprint – requires the smallest overall counter space of any codeline reader. Even the largest cheques or other voucher types used by banks can be processed and stacked within about 300mm of counter space.

Low overall cost of ownership
The low cost of the RD 1000 together with its accuracy, longevity and high level of reliability means that the user is assured of low overall cost of ownership.

Cheques and cheque-sized documents
The NexGen 5 can read all internationally accepted codeline fonts to the highest standards of accuracy: this includes magnetic reading of CMC7 and E13B and optical recognition of OCR-A, OCR-B, E13B and the UK mixed font of OCR-B X E13B.

Passports and ID cards
All configurations of the NexGen 5 are capable of processing rigid documents such as ID cards and drivers' licenses; the short-tower version equipped with 60 mm front scanner will also capture and decode the double OCR line on modern passports (provided the data is on the inside of the back cover).

Barcode reader
The NexGen 5 is able to read 1-D barcodes and 2-D barcodes (PDF 417) from the front image. Both these functionalities are optional features, further enhancing this small wonder's unique capabilities and scope of use.

Badge and chip card reader
Whether it's the user's card authorising access to the workstation or a customer's card, required to activate a transaction, both magnetic stripe (badge) cards reading and chip cards read/write functionalities are available on the NexGen 5 as options.
