MEMORY EXPANSION MODULES
Two models to choose from. Both features Qualstar’s trademark rotating carousel design.
MEM1
- 1,075 cartridge slots in less than nine square feet of IT floor space.
MEM2
- 535 cartridge slots in just 5.4 square feet.
PERFORMANCE
- Load a drive or slot within an LRM: 11 seconds average
- Load a drive or slot to / from an MEM: 13 seconds average

| The LRM 820500 and 832700 are complete library units containing control electronics, tape drives, storage slots, I/O ports and our unique robotic media handler. Each LRM is highly scalable making it easy to vary drive and cartridge slot ratios to fit your needs. |
When your storage needs grow beyond an LRM, one or two MEMs can easily be added. Using Qualstar’s trademark rotating carousel cartridge storage design, each MEM contains 535 or 1,075 additional slots in very dense, compact footprints. |
An LRM holds any mix of up to 20 or 32 Fibre Channel or SCSI LTO drives depending on the model. Bays holding up to 4 tape drives or 30 media storage slots can be mixed and matched to meet changing requirements. Up to 40 I/O slots are supported in each LRM.
