Plasmon’s UDO Upgrade Program is designed to help optical storage users leverage the latest UDO technology by providing incentives and discounts of up to $15,000 for upgrading to the industry’s most advanced optical solutions.

Why should you upgrade to UDO?
The new standard in professional optical storage, blue laser-based UDO provides dramatically greater capacities than previous generation optical solutions, resulting in a particularly low Total Cost of Ownership. UDO also delivers true WORM data integrity, using Phase Change technology, providing complete data authenticity for strict regulatory compliant requirements. 30GB UDO cartridges are available with both true WORM and Rewritable media. A future roadmap delivers larger capacities from 30GB up to 240GB over the next decade. G-Series UDO libraries can be configured with mixed media options, providing for MO and UDO drives and media in the same library, enabling the easiest and most cost-effective migration path for MO users upgrading to UDO.

UDO Upgrade Program
End User Terms and Conditions

1. The UDO Upgrade Program offer is valid April 4th, 2006 to September 30th, 2006.
2. The UDO Upgrade Program applies to older optical technology such as Magneto Optical, DVD, 12” OSAR, 1800, and other formats developed by other optical manufacturers.
3. The UDO Upgrade Program does not include software upgrades.
4. The UDO Upgrade Program Request Form and the UDO Upgrade Program End user Agreement Form must both be completed before the opportunity is eligible for the incentives in the UDO Upgrade Program.
5. In the situation where an upgrade library is returned the customer must return all the free incentive media with the library.  Plasmon will immediately charge the customer for any unreturned media.
6. Plasmon reserves the right to terminate or change the UDO Upgrade Program at any time with immediate effect.
7. Although Plasmon will use reasonable efforts to ensure the free media arrives at the same time as the library, but Plasmon does not guarantee that the media will be delivered with the library or at the same time.
8. All other terms, limitations, or instructions included in other UDO Upgrade Program documentation and Plasmon’s standard terms and conditions of sale shall be applicable and are hereby incorporated by reference.
9. Customers with a current, prepaid service contract through Plasmon Service Direct for the replaced library will be able to cancel the service contract and apply the remaining prorated value to a new Plasmon Service Direct contract for the new library.
